ESC Global Security hosted a cyber security master class in Mauritius
The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) invited ESC Global Security to Mauritius to host a two-day master class about the new EU Data Protection Directive. The training and cyber security workshops held by Head of Cyber Security Division of ESC Global Security, Joseph Carson were successfully delivered to governmental and financial institutions’, telecommunication and port authorities representatives.
Main topic for the master class was the new EU General Data Protection Regulation and its effect to Mauritanian businesses dealing with EU data subjects and the need to ensure full compliance with the new regulation.
The second part of the day covered the dealing with threats through best practices and practical strategies. With the internet increasingly impacting the traditional business processes/models and the 4th industrial revolution fast tracking the Internet of Things (IOT) and big data, the whole Cyber security Nexus involving the State, the Critical Infrastructure, the Data Transfer/Exchange providers and Business Operators, requires a strategic approach against potential threats that can significantly harm institutional and business activities. Workshop gave knowledge, tools, guidance and connections to be at the forefront of a vital and rapidly changing business environment
On the second day the master class attending institutions and companies had a chance to book a 1,5 hour private session for individual advice.
